About the Program
Key Requirements
The main requirement is that the candidate is in good academic standing, committed to
going to a public university in Cabo Verde and can show financial need. The selecting
committe will also look at extra curriculum activities such as sports, music and
community involvement.
Helping Students Achieve Their Full Potential
NDTiA believes that to make college education more accessible it is important to create
and promote ways to support students whose families’ financial situation jeopardizes their
chances to attend college. We have established this scholarship program to make higher
education more accessible.
The mission of NDTiA Scholarship program is to provide critical financial assistance to
underprivileged students to help them cover the cost of attending a public university in
Cabo Verde.
Through a selective scholarship program that advances higher education for
community-minded and intellectually gifted students, NDTiA will competitively award
four-year scholarships to talented high school students with financial difficulties who
otherwise would not have been able to attend college.
To ensure the progress of scholarship recipients and encourage completion of the degree program on time, NdTiA may assist student with other expenses (i.e., bus pass, school supply, etc.) as deemed necessary.
The award will be provided to the school directly on behalf of the student upon verification of registration. NdTiA will request official transcript every semester to ensure academic progress and reserves the right to terminate the award if the student doesn't maintain an acceptable level of progress.
This scholarship is not limited to any specific field or career objective and may be used to pursue any academic discipline.
